Quilt show today

Today was my visit to our biannual quilt show.  I entered tow quilts in the show. The first is ‘Salt, Pepper & Paprika’. I made this while my husband was in the hospital.  One night, I worked until 3am on it. It’s a combination of improv piecing, skinny borders and matchstick piecing.

The second is my fourth flower quilt. It’s a fuschia background, appliqués flowers and free motion quilting.  The exciting thing that it got a ribbon for ‘Machine Quilting, Domestic’. My first ribbon for a quilt. Yeah me!!!

It rained a lot. Square-ish went at auction for $300, second highest, again. We do good as a group with our quilts.
